Dr. Gharbawi is an experienced attorney skilled in negotiation, business planning, analysis, entrepreneurship, and international business. He graduated from Oregon State University as a chemical engineer, and continued his law degree from the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon in the USA.
After this he worked in roles as Legal Counsel for Saudi ARAMCO, the first Interim Chief Legal Counsel for King Abdullah University of Science & Technology (KAUST) and as General Counsel and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer for King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC).
He has also held numerous board and board secretary positions with KAUST US, KAUST UK, KAEC and Prince Mohammad bin Salman College of Business & Entrepreneurship.
